Pun. Intended. One of the things I was reflecting on this past week was the unique ability of Philia to take something that is ordinary, change a small detail, and turn it into something unexpected. That is, after all how our product was invented in the first place. I grew up eating Feta, and decided it needed to be brought to the people in a more interesting format and texture.
Growing up one of the dishes I truly despised was deviled eggs. I’m not really sure why, but something about the combination of flavors and textures did nothing for me. Believe me when I tell you I tried to like them – I even had a relative who brought them to almost every family gathering. When our culinary team said they wanted to create a deviled egg recipe for our website, I initially wanted to pass on the idea but I thought I’d let them work their magic. They came up with a simple recipe that cuts the mayo compared to traditional recipes, changes the herb used on the dish and adds Dill & Garlic Philia. Once the recipes were ready to taste I cautiously took a bite, and was blown away by the flavor.
